Dr. John Masys, a retired mature christian man in my WED night bible study wrote :

One statement you made at our Sunday lunch at Ike and Linda Ruckman's deeply impressed me: namely you felt strongly drawn to be a "Worship Leader" more so than being a preacher because of your direct experience of the direct, unmistakable presence of God.God's Presence, He Himself is beyond compare, He is beyond

the fullness of human description.

Catholicism teaches the term "the Beatific Vision" defined in Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, the 10th Edition, as "the direct knowledge of God enjoyed by

the blessed in heaven." I do not believe that any of us here will fully experience in this life "the Beatific Vision", partly because in our present human anatomy and

physiology we would simply be overwhelmed unto physical death. That said, when Moses came down from Mt. Sinai the presence of God with him was

physically manifest as a very bright facial radiance such that the people could not look upon him. This radiance is called the "SHEKINAH" i.e the visible radiant light of

God's cloud of glory. The Shekinah is spelled in the above referenced dictionary as "SHECHINAH" defined as "the presence of God in the world as conceived in Jewish

theology." Better we should go to the description in Exodus 24:16, 33:18-23, and 40:34-38.

I believe as a worship leader you experience a portion of the Shekinah, the physical human perception of the glory of God---how very excellent. How many worship leaders experience that divine gift? How many worship leaders experience that gift on a rare basis, much less a frequent basis?

It sounds to me that when you are writing - creating a worship song -- an original piece of music you are experiencing I Corinthians 12:8, that is, a clear word of

knowledge being directly given to you by the Holy Spirit. Let me ask you: how many Worship Leaders are given the gift of a "word of knowledge" which the Lord uses

to enable them to write an original excellent piece of music dedicated to Him and to His glory? Based on my observation, there are many guitarists and there are some worship leaders. But the number of worship leaders who are also composers of original Holy Spirit-inspired music are a smaller select group.

I greatly appreciate valid spiritual gifts. For perspective: What is the greater value: a spiritual gift or a spiritual fruit? Jesus said by their fruits you shall know them. He did not say by their gifts you shall know them. Hopefully we have most of the gifts operating most of the time in the hour-by-hour living of our lives where the tire is trying to develop traction on a often slippery and broken pavement. Spiritual gifts are listed in Galatians 5:22 i.e "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Memory Verse promising God's navigational wisdom: PSALM 32:8 "The Lord will teach and instruct you in the way you should go. He will counsel you with

His eye upon you.
